Beautiful, quality bowls

These are larger than I expected, but I love them. They're solid, elegant, classic, charming and multi-useful (may not be a word, but it applies here). I got the white and can see these being utilized for many years, for many purposes: hot and cold cereals, soups, serving side dishes to two to four people, baking up decent sized pot-pies...they're great for all sorts of things. Any kitchen could use four of these, at least!

Wonderful soup bowls

These bowls are the just right size and keep the soup warm for a long time. They are perfect for serving stews as well, again because they retain heat for a long time. Finally, I love the look of these bowls; the handles are both practical and cute.

These bowls are very large - so I hope you are hungry! They have a nice patina and look great in a rustic or country setting. Good for dips or appetizers too.

Recieved the bowls in record time. When I opened the package they were all that I expected and more. Love them. Used them for chili....kept food warm long time. Love the color.

I have two sets, one white and one gold. These awesome bowls with their handles are perfect for microwaving leftover soup.. The handles make handling the hot soup safe. Bowls also can go in the oven for baking.

Love these bowls

I absolutely love these bowls. I purchased the green set and use them frequently. I love that you can use them in the oven and the food stays completely warm till the last bite. I recently saw that they have the ivory bowls now so I recencly purchased these since we have large family gatherings often. Just want to say thank you for this product.

Large but Lovely

I've been looking for soup bowls like this for some time, and I'm very happy with these. I purchased a set of four in green, and they're beautiful; I love the color, shape, and handmade look. The handles do stay cool as promised by other reviewers, and the soup inside stays hot down to the last drop. The only thing I would change is the size; they hold a deceptively large amount. I know, the volume (27oz) is listed in the product description, and there are other bowls offered that hold a more reasonable portion size, but I was won over by these because they look so great and they stack in the cupboard. If they were to come out in, say, a 16oz size, I'd be thrilled to buy more. For now, I'll just have to refrain from filling them to the brim!

Perfect bowls

I love these bowls. I first bought the gold set . Perfect for Hot or cold items. Love the large size and the handles. When they came out with the green I bought them. Now I have a total of 8 and the green and gold complement each other. Very well made, dishwasher and microwave safe. In the 2 or 3 years that I have owned these I have not found a con with these bowls.

Well constructed; holds more than enough soup for the most hungry soup lover. The green goes well with our everyday dishware. Seems that it delivers everything that its description promised. Not inexpensive, but we expect to use it for a lifetime.

These bowls are perfect for soup and chili, and even cereal. The handles make it easy to remove from oven or microwave. Plus, the chili stays hot in the bowl for a long time. I would love to have them in every color. Thanks!

Perfect for hot dishes

For years, my go to bowl has always been the chill bowls, also sold by Williams Sonoma. I still use them for cereal, salad, prep and when I'm having guests over (as the white fits in with the rest of my dishes the best), but these are a revelation for hot food.
It's all about the handles. They truly stay cool whether you're pouring in soup/chili/pasta straight from the stove or microwaving leftovers. No more burnt fingers or need for a pot holder to carry food from the kitchen to table.
The capacity is also ample and the rustic finish and colour (I got the yellow ones) makes dishes look so good. I made a New England clam chowder and served it in these bowls - it was a a thing of beauty.

Soup Bowls

I went to Vegas and stopped at State line and went to WS Outlet. Great place. I paid 1/2 the amount for these bowls and got 2 sets, I LOVE them, the handles don't get hot, they are deep and beautiful, (I got the green).
I recently purchased the yellow for my moms birthday, (paid full price but worth it!, since Vegas is not in my future anytime soon). She also loves them although one bowl came broken, so they will be returned for a new set.

Purchased Red and White bowls and received very quickly. Just in time for making onion soup (from our garden surplus) using the delicious recipe on WS website.

Color is tan not gold! And glaze not complete

I bought a set of gold and of green. Quality is great, weight and size and everything is great with the green set, but the glaze does not cover the whole lip edge on the gold set and the color is more tan than gold. I am returning gold, hope to visit a store and get a better set. The green set was on sale and is the better quality!

I bought these bowls last fall. First, just a set of gold. Then went back for more and ended up with 8 gold and 8 green. I am so happy to see ivory added to the line. I just ordered 8 of them. We like these versatile bowls so much. Great size, style and durability. We have a soup party every fall and these bowls are definitely a hit. Their simple style adds to the ambiance of the party.
