I have an older set of these, and they fill in holes on a lattice pie crust, nicely. As my daughter said they just make the pie look fancy, and add more crust at the same time. Great use for a little bit of extra crust! Makes the pie look very nice. You can make the same shape with or without the extra detail. People who like more crust thought this was a great way to add it!

Very pretty on your pie!

These are so worth the money. It is such an easy way to make your pie go from just something to eat, to something way too beautiful to eat! The only problem (if you look at pic # 2 ) is you really can't place/cook them on top of a pie crust bc the crust underneath will be kinda undercooked. They kinda act like a bad pie shield. But, you could totally place and cook them on top of a pie that doesn't have a top crust. If you want to decorate a pie that has a top crust, just cook the cut out pieces on the side, and then place on top before serving. The pie won't look exactly like it does in pic 2, but it's still so cute. They are a great way to use up extra dough. And if you have a husband like mine who can't ever get enough crust, they are great for adding just to your plate, or on the side for something to munch on when your pie is cooking.
