Tucked into our classic rattan hamper is a quartet of hard and soft artisan cheeses from Italy, France and Spain, handpicked for us by the European cheese specialists at Fresca Italia. Two classic accompaniments are also included. You'll receive: Brescianella Fresca is a soft-ripened pasteurized cow's milk cheese from Lombardy, Italy, with a bloomy rind, a creamy, tangy flavor and a distinct mushroom aroma. Pecorino di Rocca is a sheep's milk cheese from Italy that's aged for 2 to 3 months. The firm cheese has a sweet, nutty flavor, a slightly sharp, grassy aroma and a firm yet moist, crumbly texture. Pyramide, from France's Loire Valley, is a lovely goat's milk cheese that is coated with a layer of edible vegetable ash. The cheese has a lightly piquant, tangy flavor and crumbly yet creamy texture. Odre from Catalonia, Spain, is a creamy, soft-ripened sheep's milk cheese, with a creamy, lactic flavor, a bloomy rind and a firm, dense texture. Panpepato, also known as panforte, is a traditional Italian pastry made since medieval times with candied fruit, nuts and spices. Panpepato rounds out any cheese course perfectly. Pane carasatu, a wafer-thin and crisp artisan flatbread from Sardinia. Collection includes 12 oz. Brescianella Fresca, 12.3 oz. Pecorino di Rocca, 7.5 oz. Pyramide, 8 oz.
