Dorset Crystal Double & Single Old-Fashioned Glasses, Set of 4
Named for the picturesque county on England's southern coast, this lead-crystal barware catches and reflects light, thanks to its hand-cut fluting. The double old-fashioned is ideal for cocktails, while the highball glasses accommodate taller libations. The single old-fashioned is useful for any drink served on the rocks. Notable for their brilliant clarity and superb balance, these pieces are produced at a Slovenian glassworks founded 80 years ago. We recommend washing by hand. Single Old-Fashioneds, 7-oz. cap., 3 1/2" high; Double Old-Fashioneds, 11.5-oz. cap., 3 3/4" high. Sets of four.

These glasses are perfect fit for a women. I love that the Dorset crystal has a vintage/modern style and beauty,
I have a set of 6. I loved them so much that I bought a set of the double, triple, high ball and champagne glasses... and the shaker!! The Shaker... what can I say about it, well... if you can afford it, get it!! You wont be disappointed. Such a reasonable price for an outstanding piece of crystal, can easily be mistaken for Baccarat. ;)

Perfect cocktail class

We've used these almost daily for a couple of years for evening cocktails, and they're just perfect. We've never had any problems with chipping. We always hand wash and dry them immediately with a soft cloth.

These are absolutely beautiful glasses for entertaining. Scotch, Bourbon, Cognac and Fine Tequila look and taste better when served in these vessels. Hand washing is the least you can do to perserve their beauty. Highly recommended.

I received these glasses as a gift then purchased more. Upside: they are beautiful, good heft, and showcase great liquors. Downside - edges are fragile so they need hand washing.

Beautiful...but too fragile, I broke two with kind hands. They need a guarantee as I already feel like if I continue they will need a small trust fund to survive

Chip WAY too easy.

These are beautiful Glasses. However i bought four of them, 2 of them chipped at the lip. When i was buying them initially one of them was chipped at the same spot in the store. I purchased two more and one of those chipped too! So purchased total of 6 glasses, 4 of which chipped at the same spot where the etching is at the lip of the glasses. Hand washing ONLY, soft sponge, and air dry. So how i still have 3 non chipped glasses but am afraid to use them. Nice to look at.

These glasses are really attractive and solid, though they seem a bit lighter than the smaller ones. They wash well in the dishwasher, but I wash by hand to keep that brand new look.

Combination Old and New Schools

I have both the single, as well as double old-fashion and to be honest, I rarely use the single. The double is so substantial with a beautiful weight; honestly the thing may weigh close to a pound or more, but, if you are a true whisky drinker, you should consider a set. Pouring a touch of whisky and seeing it glisten in the glass, takes you back to the 30’s or 40’s, but the styling is modern enough for current décor and sits beautifully on a bar. Additionally, if you are an Islay man (or woman) these glasses allow for the beauty of that peat and smoke to come forth on each sip.
I would, however, recommend hand washing, as it appears from some of the lower rankings, placing them in the dishwasher may chip them; but at these prices, believe me, I priced Baccarat, as well as Waterford, these are truly affordable enough to go and get another set. Well, worth the price.

Purchased these DOF glasses as a Christmas gift for the man of the house - they were just what I was looking for. Classic look, thin lip and the etching provides a great grip. Perfect for him to use at night for a casual glass of scotch but classy enough to use for a cocktail party or get-together.

A Lovely Glass

My husband loved the look and feel of these glasses so I bought 8 doubles and 8 highballs for everyday glassware over 3 years ago. (We have no children at home.) I throw them in the dishwasher daily and have had no problems, but I did chip the rim on one when I knocked it with the base of another while spring cleanining. I had the chip polished out. It is a beautiful glass, but quite heavy. Not for children.

My husband wanted a very hefty glass to drink his scotch. I got him 4 of the doubles two years ago and 4 of the singles last year. I use them for "& tonic" drinks, too. We use them often and I've never experienced any chips, etc. but we do hand wash them.

I returned a wedding gift to get these for my hubby. I've been eyeing them for about a year and am so excited to finally own a set. They are gorgeous! I got the single as the double is very substantial in size. The single is perfect in hand. Very rich looking and I am sure they will make us feel fabulous when we break them out for guests. I don't even drink brown liquor but these make me want to!
