Demeyere John Pawson Stainless-Steel Saute Pan with Lid, 4-Qt.

Designed by celebrated British architect John Pawson, this European stainless-steel cookware reflects his signature minimalist style with its streamlined silhouettes and superb functionality. Featuring a broad cooking surface and high sides to reduce spattering, the pan is ideal for sauteing, searing and browning. Constructed of commercial-quality 18/10 stainless-steel. For impeccable temperature control, the stainless-steel pan is welded into Demeyere's high-tech InductoSeal base, which has a 2mm copper center encapsulated in a layer of silver for superb heat distribution. The base is finished with an external TriplInduc layer, which combines three special metal alloys for a smooth, even heating surface that won't deform with use and boosts induction-cooking efficiency by up to 30%. A Silvinox surface treatment helps maintain the durable, stick-resistant finish and its satin-polished beauty through years of daily use. Made in Belgium.

Beautiful Design, Questionable Execution
January 13, 2015
I was looking to find high quality, contemporary designed cookware.
This line is the best designed cookware on the market. I didn't want to get the set WS was offering, so I created mine with 4Qt Saute Pan, 3 Dutch Ovens (3, 4 and 5.5 Qt) and two 11" frying pans. When the package arrived, the disappointment came: the 3Qt Dutch Oven was scratched on the inside and the 2 frying pans had different finishes! With the help of a WS store associate, I exchanged the 3Qt Dutch Oven and ordered two more frying pans, hoping out of 4 frying pans two would have the same finish. The new order brought dissapoinntment again: the Dutch Oven was scratched at the inside, again, and one of the 2 frying pans had a handle which wasn't properly attached! The angle of the handles wasn't the same! Out of 4 frying pans, I couldn't have two alike! I was so disappointed with this line that I returned it all to WS. For this kind of money spent on pots and pans, one is expecting to get flawless product!
Pros: Shape, Design
Cons: uneven finishing
