This fabulous pot has a handsome, professional appearance and a good heft to it. Its thick 7-ply copper-core base extends all the way out to the pot's side and heats extremely uniformly on my induction cooktop, and enables one to cook at lower heat settings than with lessor pots. Its stainless steel sides are heated by the food rather than the base, so they remain relatively cool, making the pot easy to handle without scorching of the hands. This is the best sauce pot / dutch oven out there!
