This is another little gadget I just purchased that I don't know how I lived without. Between the strawberry slicer and huller and this apple corer, it will be so easy to eat healthy. The price is great and it is a great timesaver. Buy one, you won't regret it.

Worked well until broken

I loved this tool at first. It did the job a few times. Lately, I can't use it without one of the little bolts popping out the side every other apple. Since, apple coring has become more tedious than ever, I will buy a different model and hope it will hold up. The tool has been used only a few times and has been exclusively hand washed.

Not a good purchase

I bought this corer because I was looking for a strong and sturdy tool to core my apples. I eat 1-2 apples daily, so a corer would have to have outstanding strength and construction. I used this for a little over a month when a pin broke and shifted the blades. Then It started to rust (no I never wash in the dishwasher, only by hand). I was replacing a cheap retail brand that lasted a year for me. Needless to say, I didn't get the corer of my dreams. I'd rather pay twice the amount for the quality I was seeking. I just thought I had found it and W-S was not where it was.

Love it! Easy to use. Sharp serrated blade glides easily through the apple. Core is cleanly contained inside until released. Makes working with apples fun.

I am so glad I bought the apple corer from WSonoma. It is one of the most practical gadgets I have ever owned. Our family eats fruit every day, mostly apples,so I get to use it more than once a day. I also used it to core pears. It works but not as well. I love the tool. A great buy!

Sadly this apple corer is very poor quality. It fell apart the first time we used it. One of the pins that holds it to the handle come out after 2 apples.

Purchased this item to make the Pennsylvania Dutch Apple Dumpling recipe featured on Williams-sonoma.com. This recipe is fabulous and so easy to make! The corer makes it super easy to core the apples and is very ergonomic! Highly recommend!

I normally don't write reviews for items I buy unless they are particularly good or particularly bad... but this apple corer is one of my favorite purchases I have made! It is so much easier to use than the apple slicers that you have to push down on. It is very sleek and is designed very well. I've used it multiple times and have yet to have a problem. Best $10 ever spent!

Great Time Saving Tool

My son likes apples with lunch but he is too young to crunch into one. I have been quartering them and taking out the core on each piece for 3 years now. This apple corer is efficient and easy for me to use. It saves me time in the morning when I have little time to spare. A spur of the moment purchase along with a gift I was getting for someone. I am very happy with the purchase. An efficient tool at a reasonable price.

Falls apart and then won't go back together.

I had used this thing a total of four times when it broke apart in my hand. The pin at the thumb pivot joint just fell out and nearly went down my kitchen sink drain.
That's when I noticed the rust. The pins holding the shaft to the handle aren't stainless steel and there's rust inside the joints and along the shaft on both sides.
I attempted to put the pin back in and tried to hold it together while coring an apple but it doesn't go back in all the way and the ends of the shaft do not line up anymore so it doesn't have the round core shape and won't core without falling apart again. This thing is garbage.
I switched back to using my one piece stainless steel corer that I bought at the grocery store.
