Made 2 different batches of Ice Cream and both turned out as advertised.
one drawback is the freezer space used to keep the pot frozen in order to be able to make a batch in a short time.
Dose a great job with little effort.

Ice Cream maker is Awesome

So far we have used it 3 times and are starting to get more creative each time. It is easy to do,
First try we didn't freeze the container enough and it was soup, so that would be the only recommendation, but since then we just keep it in the freezer so when we are in the mood we have awesome ice cream without all the processed items in ice cream from the store. It can be a little noisy so you may want it away from the TV room

I made a cranberry sorbet from the manual and it came out great. I now can makeup new recipes without that much sugar.

A friend turned me on to this product. I will thank him with every spoonful of goodness!
This machine works easily and well after one use. Should you buy one, the vanilla ice cream is absolutely wonderful. I can't wait to find the time to add chocolate chips and blueberry syrup to it!

Great Ice cream but noisy..

Don't know others are sounding but my machine works great but just terribly noisy and can hear it as soon as i enter the front door and loud enough to hear through a phone conversation. Only tried one recipe from the book and possibilities are endless and in 25-30 minutes it iS1done. BUT, I do also try to run a rubber spatula down the sides while its turning to make sure all gets distributed properly. Other than the noise i will love this machine .. Will update if it changes and gets better or worse.

Freezer Bowl Stopped Freezing

For the first several months we loved this ice cream maker. Easy to use, fun to experiment with different, yummy recipes- and then, when I was planning to use it for a dinner party desert- it wouldn't freeze. I know the freezer bowl is replaceable, but I had it for only a few months, followed directions for freezing upright at the back of the freezer shelf and -- nothing. Had it continued to work properly I would have gladly awarded ten stars!

This is one of the best small kitchen appliances ever! I just used mine for the first time last night and the kids loved it! It is very easy to use and the ice cream and memories you make far outweigh the price. Great purchase for our family! :)

This works as advertised, and works well. If you are making a smaller batch, or using lower fat milk and/or half and half, watch it closely at 15-20 minutes because it will finish faster. It is fun to play with the recipes and improvise.

I am so very happy that I bought the Cuisinart SS Ice Cream Maker!
You must follow the directions regarding measurements or it may overflow. Some reviewers mentioned noise. It was not bothersome. I don't know when they were using it, that said, I would not run it during a dinner party ;-)
Enables one to have ice cream using organic, quality ingredients controlling the fat and sugar content. The product is soft in consistency when completed; if desirous of a more hardened ice cream, freezing for two more hours prior to consumption is recommended.
Very pleased!

This is the best ice cream maker EVER !!!

"2 Quart Capacity" is misleading

My only quibble with this excellent machine is the capacity. It is described as being able to handle two quarts of ice cream. Although two quarts of batter will fit in the bowl, it is so close to the top that it threatens to overflow. Also the bowl, even when thoroughly frozen, isn't cold enough to freeze two whole quarts - the batter is on the liquidy side of soft serve even after half an hour of churning.
I tried to outwit the size limitations by making a quart and a half, to which I added stracciatella. After adding a few ounces of melted chocolate to the bowl as it churned, it overflowed and ice cream batter went everywhere.
So, read "two quart capacity" with a grain of salt. I've found that a one quart batch is usually safest.
Otherwise, an excellent ice cream maker.

I have made vanilla ice cream on the WS video, strawberry & chocolate ice cream in the Cuisinart recipe book. They were all delicious. My favorite was the strawberry as they are in season right now. It is so easy, sometimes prep time takes the most time. I wish I bought it sooner. I will make strawberry again for July 4th

I got this in the mail the day before my grandaughters arrived for a visit. Found out from my son-in-law they have the same one and love it! The 4 year old said she could help me and it is just about that simple.
We have tried 2 recipes from a gelato cookbook we have and both turned out amazing. We chilled the cream mixture overnight and the next day it took only 20-30 to get deliciously rich gelato. Clean up is a breeze and we put the liner right back in the freezer for the next batch.
I can't recommend this enough. Very quiet also!

Three words...I love it! For those who mentioned that it was too noisy, well, guess what? It's a machine and machines make noise. Besides, it takes 25-35 minutes for the ice cream to mix, so it's not neccessary to stand right next to it while it's mixing. Personally it's not as noisy as people described it to be.
Moving forward, I received so many compliments on the ice creams and gelato I've made so far. The taste of homemade ice cream is unbeatable and making it yourself is twice as fun. The recipes that came with the instruction/care booklet is very good also. In fact, the very first ice cream I tried making--Simple Chocolate Ice Cream came from the booklet. Overall, it's easy to use, easy to care for and the size of the freezer container doesn't take up much room in the freezer when freezing/storing it for future use. It also looks great on our kitchen counter, as it matches our stainless steel appliances. I definitely recommend it!

Thoroughly enjoyed the icecream; and the other frozen desserts we've made. The only hangup we've had is that if you don't get the mixture REALLY cold before you start mixing..It will not freeze.

My daughter and her husband got this appliance as a wedding gift and loved it so much that they bought one for my husband for Father's Day. We loved it so much we bought it as a gift for his brother's birthday. It is easy and fun and great for ice cream, sorbets and gelato!
