Disappointed!

This grill won't stay hot long enough to cook a slice of bacon. Cycles on and off with inconsistent heat. Have tried every combination of griddle and griddler suggested, with the same results. I have been using it 2 to 3 times a week for a month now, just to give it a fair chance. Heats up, then cools down too much before heating up again. I had great expectations for this product, and was sorely disappointed.

I love my new Cuisinart Griddler. Chicken breasts are done just right- not dry or overcooked. Sandwiches also perfect!
I have yet to try the plates for waffles, but am sure they will be wonderful..
The plates are lightweight, too, and easy to handle in and out of the dishwasher.

Great Grill

I wished I had not waited to order it, but I was waiting for it to go on Sale. Best $$
I have spent in along time.
First night I cooked Bonless Pork Chops
and Aparagus. The 2nd night Bonless Chicken Breast. The thrid night Grilled
Cheese Sandwiches. Not sure what I will
cook tonight, but I am sure it will be good.
I just could not believe how fast the Chops and Breasts cooked because both were thick. No smoke or spatter and the clean up was easy.....

A Necessity in My Kitchen!

I have had my Griddler for at least 5 years, and use it lots of times each week. It is perfect for paninis, pancakes, quesadillas and grilling meat or veggies. It's super easy for my tween kids to use safely! It's easy to clean. The removable plates make it easy to switch between grilling and griddling. It lays flat when I need it to as well.
Other griddles/grills are not as versatile as this one! I love it! A great tool for your kitchen!

This is t he best little Panini Press! I have enjoyed mine for years. We use it all the time. Mine is rather beat-up looking because of the use it gets, but I love this little grill with all of my heart. I especially love the Panini Press and the small grid marks it makes on sandwiches and grilled meats. There are more expensive versions but this one is so perfect, I don't anticipate I will change it until it dies on my counter.

Great Panini Press and Griddle

We received this as a gift, and had never had one before. It is quite versatile and easy to use. For a panini and/or grilling on both sides at once makes it cook about twice as fast. The clean-up is quite easy because the grilling plates detach. While we've only had it a short time and have used it only 4 or 5 times, at this point we're very pleased.

Nice little grill

I've used this little grill a few times now and for the price I like it MUCH better than the other major brand sold here (which I threw away after only a month).
Cuisinart just seems to have put more thought into it. Specific likes:
- The articulated hinge keeps the grilling planes more parallel.
- They open all the way to serve as a flat griddle.
- They're removable for cleaning (a crucial feature).
- The temperature is controllable.
- The drip tray is wisely positioned nicely out of the way.

My only complaint would be that the exterior surfaces get quite hot, just like the other brand. But overall I like it and hope to be using it for a long time.

i have been using this grill/griddle for over 5 years with excellent results. paninis come out golden brown & crispy. bacon or sausage with eggs or french toast are cooked up simultaneously, so they are served up hot! hamburgers are a breeze. plates are easy to snap on & off. best of all, dishwasher safe for easy cleanup!!

I bought this for myself when this first came on the market and I used the griddle and press all the time. Then they started selling the plates that make waffles too; So I make grilled cheese, waffles, pressed cuban sandwiches, and panini's.

Versatile!

We love our griddle/Panine Press. I use it almost every school morning to quickly make french toast. We have used it for hamburgers, steaks, fish and pancakes. I especially love it when I need to cook bacon. I definetly feel like I got my money's worth from this appliance.

Don't Get get this Griddle

I got this as a wedding present. I have had to return this product 4 times because it has broken.
The first time it broke after a month of use (the hooks that hold the griddle plates broke so the plates would not stay on).
Twice it was broken out of the box (feet broken off because it is made of cheap metal).
Once it broke after one use (the on off knob started turning it on).
This product worked well, but has terrible build quality.
I finally had to just get a refund. I gave this product 4 chance and it failed every time.
DO NOT GET THIS PRODUCT

We have had this for well over a year and it is very versatile and works well. Comes with griddle and grill plates just make sure you insert correctly, had a problem one time. I think it beats our previous George Forman hands down. Sometimes the bulk is hard to store but we have a small kitchen.

Stops working after a few uses

I previously wrote a glowing review.
However, I am on our 3rd unit now; as both prior ones stopped working after several uses (the middle knob). If this one breaks also I will give up entirely. Customer service was efficient and replaced the other two. However it shouldn't happen & is a hassle. Usually the quality of products from Williams Sonoma are stellar, thus the reason I'm giving it another chance.
When the press does work, it's great!

Broke after 3 uses

I should have heeded the other reviewers. My griddler worked wonderfully for 3 times, and then the middle knob stopped working when we turned it to "grill/panini". Obviously the wiring or something is off, but for such an expensive product, I expect to get something that performs much better.
At first I didn't think that we'd end up with the same problem so many others had, but unfortunately it seems like it's much more common than we thought. WS should really reconsider stocking such a poor quality item.

Bad Choice

Got this as a gift and had to reurn it because it would not stay on. Received another and gues what . . it won't stay on either. Based upon the reviews online, this seems to be a big issue. FLOP! Also, the drip pan only works if the top is down. FLOP! What a mess!

I wanted one of these for more than a year, so I finally got one. It is my new favorite for cooking. I have a home office, so some days I use it for all three meals. I am a cooking novice, so whatever I use must be easy to use and hard to mess up.

We've had our griddler for about a year and a half and use it regularly as a panini press for sandwiches, a grill for vegetables and a griddle for breakfast fare. It excels at all of these tasks and the removable plates make it easier to clean.

This grill is awesome. It cooks great and it has an easy cleanup. I love it and I would recommend it to anyone who loves to grill indoors but have the same healthy outdoors results without the mess!
