Better than Joy of Cooking
January 4, 2011
I have used my Joy of Cooking book for 30 years, but this cookbook is so much more user friendly. The tips in the margins, the explanations of how or why the ingredients belong together, and so many other helpful narratives, make this my new best friend in the kitchen.

Love this Cookbook
December 13, 2010
Oh so happy I got this book, I love to just read it. Awesome and simple recipes. Also while the writers and others might cringe- I found that many recipes can be adapted to ingredients on hand or even food storage foods.... (such as dried veggies or eggs). That is not to say that all recipes are, and that as always fresh good quality food is better but as food storage is important to me I wanted a cookbook I could adapt recipes from and this one does it. Simple basic ingredients and beautiful tasty food!
