This is such a versatile rub. I've used it on pork and chicken, but it is the very best on Mahi Mahi for fish tacos. Sprinkle it over popcorn for a great snack. Love this rub!!!!

Fav for chicken wings and pork

My husband and I love hot food, hotter than most people like it. We never fry our buffalo or jerk wings, always grill. So when we found this rub as an alternate for our friends who are not so spicily inclined, AND it was a hit, I was thrilled. We entertain a lot and grill even more. Still gives lovely spice, without the heat. I have also made a marinade out of it for pork using lime juice, some fresh seeded jalapenos and cilantro, then grill.

I use this rub when grilling fish, tilapia and other white fish. It adds depth of flavor without overpowering the fish.

Love this stuff! Tried it on pork loin in the smoker and also on some chicken and now it's my husband's new favorite spice mix. Looks like I'll be stocking up on it! Can't wait to try it on fish and veg!

This rub is almost a fine powder and lacks alot of presence. I've had other chili lime rubs that are more coarsely ground which tend to impart more flavor when combined with olive oil and rubbed on as a paste. This was good on baked fish, hit it with a squeeze of lime when serving and top with a salsa.

grilled chicken

I was given a packet of dry rubs as a gift and it included Chile Lime rub, I have found it to be excellent on grilled chicken and use it all the time now instead of marinades.
I have bought two more cans of the rub and will continue to use it as long as it is available.
The only down side to this rub is that I have a tendency to eat too much chicken when I use it, I'm going to have to try and curb my appetite. I would recommend this to anyone who grills chicken, especially chicken wings.

This is a fantastic rub for pork shoulder! Apply liberally, give it a quick sear and then let it sit in the slow cooker until it all falls apart. Imparts a delicious flavor with or without the addition of BBQ sauce.

The flavor of lime really comes through in this rub and works perfectly with the smokiness of the chili. I cannot wait to try this on pork loin and possibly salmon.

Sprinkle some of this rub on raw shrimp and stir fry in a wok with sugar snap peas and scallions. Yumm!! Gotta get some more of this spice rub to have on hand!

Just bought my second tin Friday!
I've found that a tin works for about 3 meals. We've only used it on pork tenderloin so far, but after butterflying the tenderloin, rubbing both sides of the loin with a mixture of the rub and olive oil and rolling it up with kitchen twine, I doubt we'll even bother with anything else! It makes such a flavorful, moist tenderloin. And this is coming from one that is not a fan of pork.
My only regret so far is wasting the drippings, they are too good to not make a gravy. Thank goodness I have another tenderloin in the freezer!
Went very nicely with roasted asparagus.

Makes Wonderful Chicken Tacos

I will be the first to admit that cooking is not my speciality, it actually has been a long journey to find some recipies that I feel confident about making. The William's Sonoma Chili Lime Rub is amazing and has helped this challenged cook create some tasty meals. I use the rub on chicken in a sauce pan with a little olive oil and some peppers to create chicken tacos, nachos, and fajitas. It has been a hit with my family and friends. I strongly recommend buying this spice! You will LOVE it!

I just used this rub this weekend on steaks and love it. It's so convenient to have a pre-made mix, and this one has just the right amount of heat, and is especially when combined with anaheim pepper. I only wish it had more lime flavor, but I'll just add some lime juice next time.

I prepare this on the grill and use the grill's broiler for the last 5 minutes of cooking. Baste with melted butter mixed with the juice of half a lime. Great flavor!

We first purchased the Chil-lime Rub at Christmas time direct from our area store. It was excellent!!! We used it on fish, chicken, beef and venison. It was very flavorfull on all. We then re-ordered thru the website 2 more cans and were substantially disapointed. There was really no lime flavor to it. We wondered if there is perhaps a shelf life for the product. We will use them and enjoy, but just not the same bright lime flavor as the first can.

I've tried this rub on many different meats and sprinkled it on vegetables. I haven't tried it on corn on the cob yet but I think it will be wonderful. So far, it has improved the flavor of everything I've tried it on.
