works some of the time
October 18, 2014
I thought that this brand would be superior to Food Saver brand, but it is not. There is a feature for the unit activate the seal function once the air has been evacuated from the bag, this works some of the time, other times it just keeps sucking and never seals. I sent the first one back thinking was defective, but his one is the same.
Pros: Easy to Use, Easy to Clean, Easy to Store
Cons: Temperamental, not functioning as designed

Functional and Easy
February 22, 2014
This vacuum sealer works exactly as described and I found the instructions readable (even if not always 100% clear). The machine itself is pretty self-explanatory and seems like it will be durable. It is a little loud when vacuum-sealing though.
Pros: Durable, Easy to Use, Quality, Speed, Design
Cons: Loud

Did Germans really write the instruction manual?
January 15, 2014
Caso is a German company. For me, this means quality, clarity, and meticulous attention to detail. Not so with this product. I find the instructions incomplete and therefore incomprehensible, which makes me think that the company left the manual's writing to an amateur. Really. Where in the instructions does it say to insert the vacuum tube? What exactly is the "Clear Plastic Vacuum Chamber"? There is no clear plastic anything on this machine. By "clear" do they mean "hollow" as in "Insert the open end of the bag into the hollow, ovoid vacuum chamber..." blah, blah, blah...
So, I give one star simply because of the instruction manual. Nothing more annoying than NOT being able to use a product (esp. one so costly) before surfing the internet first for proper instructions. Include a CD why don't you?
Cons: terrible awful wholly useless instruction manual
