Jars Cantine Serving Bowl

The artistry of master ceramists is evident in every detail of this French stoneware collection-a fresh, modern interpretation of classic 1950s silhouettes. Artisans shape and glaze the serving pieces entirely by hand, using an intricate 17-step process to create the unique "crackled" appearance and creamy richness of color. The insides of the pieces are glazed, with outsides left unglazed to showcase the clay's natural matte bisque. Extremely durable and chip-resistant, this distinctive dinnerware is crafted in the south of France at the award-winning Jars Ceramistes, founded in 1857. 118-oz. cap.; 12 1/2" diam., 2 3/4" high. Microwavable and dishwasher safe.

Beautiful bowl
October 7, 2015
Like the Jars Cantine dinnerware I purchased, this bowl is very beautiful too. Be mindful of the measurements. I did not pay as much attention to the details as I should have and was very surprised by the size. I was envisioning a smaller serving bowl. This is a very large sized serving bowl. I do wish they offered a smaller size as I think I would use it more frequently. Still for the size it is very light weight.
