Love these pans!
May 3, 2013
I purchased the smaller set (8"). These pans make excellent frittata (no sticking at all); and I also use the "cover" pan (flat bottom pan that starts out on top when you make frittata) for crepes.
Highly recommend!

Pot was used, scratched and the handle did not fit
May 3, 2013
Frittata pan arrived. We opened it, it had grease and baked food on the rib, had obviously been used. The two handles did not fit together and the non stick surface was scratched!!! Not the sort of standard we expect from Williams and Sonoma!!!!
Cons: scratched dirty and broken!!!

Good but...
April 20, 2013
I loved the idea of this pan. The non-stick is fantastic, typical for Calphalon. However, the design has a flaw. In styling the non-stick pan with stainless steel rivets each time I make a frittata, the surface of the rivet causes the frittata to stick! :-(
I have used non-stick spray on the rivets, I tried brushing with canola and also olive oil but no matter what I use when it's time to flip the frittata out of the pan the rivets grab hold of the final product and stops it from making a clean release. The heating is excellent but that one point makes it a bad design. Sad, I loved the idea of this pan. Not sure why manufacturers do the rivet thing with non-stick.
Pros: Easy to Use, Quality, Size, Weight
Cons: High-Maintenance, sticky rivets

Tip on 'Flipping'
January 26, 2013
Our adult son loves those huge apple pancakes that are the size of a dinner plate and are 'flipped' only once. The 8" Calphalon Frittata Pan is perfect for this. The tip is: fill the smaller pan with your batter and place the larger pan on top, so when you flip the pancake you don't have your oil/butter dripping over the bottom pan and stovetop.
Pros: Quality, Easy to Clean

Wonderful Product!
January 21, 2013
I already had the 10" version of this Frittata Pan and it was just too large for one or two servings. This one is perfect for when I have a smaller number to serve. Makes perfect Frittata. Also, great for "no flip" fried eggs, too. Just put the top on after the eggs start to set and turn the heat down real low or even off and wonderful and beautiful no-flip fried eggs to enjoy.

Excellent set!
January 11, 2013
Ordered the 10" when it was on sale, and used it for the first time tonight. I viewed the video as a guideline, but made up my own recipe and it worked perfectly! Absolutely NO sticking, easy flip - the handles don't get hot, so no pot holders are required. I grabbed the interlocking handles as well as the long handles to hold both sides together when flipping.
The only change I will make next time is using a little less butter on the shallow side before I flip it. If you use too much, it may dribble out the sides.
Like the video showed, the frittata slid right out onto a plate. Absolutely no coaxing needed. Super easy clean up - they are the best non-stick pans I've ever used.
A loaf of French bread, a glass of champagne and dinner was perfect!
I've been eying these Calphalon Frittata pans for a long time and being able to buy them on sale was wonderful. I'm so happy to have them!

Nonstick frittata pans
December 2, 2012
I bought this about a year ago. The top pan is much smaller than the bottom pan. I use the bottom Pan weekly and the non stick surface is pealing badly where the smaller to pan is no! Bad quality. I am going to try and take it back. I think a pan should last longer than a yeah. Why the difference???
Pros: Easy to Use, Easy to Store, Versatile, Shape
Cons: Quality, Weight, High-Maintenance, Fragile, hard to turn because of weight.

Awesome pan
November 23, 2012
I purchased this pan as a gamble, it took 2 months for me to try it. All I can say now is wow. I love this pan. The clean up is amazing and cooking with it is a total dream compared to other cookware. As the professionals always say the right tools make all the difference. Clearly, this pan is well worth the investment and the labor preparing all the wonderful recipes William Sonoma has to offer. Thanks!

Pan Design Poor
October 2, 2012
I've had this for 2 years & love the concept - it works well and I don't have the leaking issue other reviews reference. It also makes wonderful frittatas.
However, what I have a huge issue with is the design. As one pan "sits" inside the rim of other, after a year the non-stick surface is chipping off the larger pan where the smaller pan makes contact & rubs. The photo shows one spot, but there are others around the rim where the two pans touch. It's a design flaw.
I've emailed Calphalon with no response. Very disappointing....

Cons: Design

Use these every day
September 24, 2012
I've had these pans for about 1 year and they are wearing nicely. Before them I had a pan from Olive & Thyme that lasted me a decade so I was really picky when it came to my expectation of how it should stand up.
So far, I'm very pleased. Frittatas are made with ease and well as all other daily cooking. I read that someone had pans that didn't match up. I think there are dealing with probably a defective set and should ask for an exchange. I do not find the flip any issue at all, nor does it leak.
Pros: Durable, Easy to Clean, Versatile

love the pan
August 9, 2012
I really like this pan, but only one complaint. If you put oil or butter in and then attach the top pan and filp, the pans, the oil or butter leaks out and runs to bottom and on stove. Other than that the pans work great!

Pans do not align properly – off center, leaving gap on one side. Must grip handles tightly to prevent leakage. Great idea poorly designed. Would recommend only after disclaimer.
Pros: Durable, Easy to Clean, Color
Cons: poor pan alignment

Will be a favorite for breakfast
July 16, 2012
I was apprehensive to spend that much for new pans at this stage of life but wish I had earlier. They work very well & the seasoning directions are good. It takes a little practice to know when to flip and the riviot buttons get a little "gunked" up with the mixture. Slides out nicely & cleans easily. The pans will work well as omlet pans or just plain small fry pans.
Pros: Durable, Easy to Use, Quality, Easy to Clean, Versatile

To Avoid "Gunked" Rivets
This has worked well for me: 1. I never spray these pans with cooking spray. I pour a bit of olive oil into each pan, then, using a silicon basting brush, I make sure to really coat the rivets well first. 2. I preheat BOTH pans on medium-low heat, and continue to keep the "top" pan warming at that temp while the frittata mixture is setting up in the "bottom" pan. I don't attempt the flip until the frittata is really well-set in the bottom first. I cook the frittata entirely on medium-low heat only. Then I slide the finished frittata onto a plate, and no "gunky" rivets! P.S.: I have learned never to do the "flip" over the burner I am using! Instead, I perform the flipping while holding the pans over my counter, which is easily cleaned up in case of any dribble. Then back to the stove to finish cooking.
