Shrimp Etouffee

Taking its name from the French for "smothered," etouffee originated in the bayous and backwaters of southern Louisiana. Our signature version of this hearty stew is handcrafted by Louisiana chefs who make it extra-luxurious by using lots of fresh shrimp and crabmeat. The seafood is smothered in a rich, velvety blend of tomatoes, onions and sweet peppers, all perfectly seasoned with classic Creole spices. A real timesaver, our etouffee is ready for your next gathering-just heat and serve over white or brown rice. 4 lb. (two 2-lb. bags). Serves 16 as first course, 8 as main course. Shipped frozen.
