Love the bowls but fragile

I really loved everything about these bowls, colors, weight, size until they proved to be fragile which is surprising considering their weight. Because the glaze includes some bubbles, these have started to break and glaze is peeling. Edges are very delicate and can chip with only minor contact. A real shame since they are otherwise very nice.

Gorgeous and Functional Bowls

I've had these bowls for a few weeks now and already they're my favorites, by far. They're very attractive (everyone will comment on them), they hold up in the microwave, and they're perfect for soup, pasta, or one-dish meals. As mentioned, they work in the microwave (and dishwasher supposedly, but I rarely use mine) and are very sturdy so far, which is rare in a hand-painted bowl, making them very versatile. They also hold quite a bit. They seem bigger than in the on-line photos. Sometimes when I'm eating soup on the couch, the bowls can be a bit hot to handle, but that's at best a minor criticism. Five stars all the way.

Cons: sometimes hot to handle (but no major issue)
