One of the best purchases I've every made

I love my kitchen and I wouldn't change a thing. But there are times when I don't want to heat up my large oven or I need an extra oven due to feeding a group of people. This oven is incredible. The temperature is accurate and it performs well. I like the size, substainable enough to accomodate most pans and casserole dishes that I own. It looks good, it's built well. I've owned and used mine for 3 years now. I recommend it highly.

I've owned this oven for over three years. It is one of the most frequently used items in our kitchen. It bakes and toasts beautifully and quickly. I've even used the broiler on occasion, which also works very well. It's also easy to keep clean. I love that it automatically turns off when the timer ends. If you have a small family and don't need to bake large quantities of food, you will use this frequently. Well worth the money.

Great counter top oven!

I have owned this oven for 6 months and have used it to toast, bake cookies, bake a cake, bake pizza, bake bread rolls, broil and reheat. I love it! So easy to clean since the crumb tray comes out at the front. I also love that it turns itself off!
The only thing I would add is an oven light. It is not always easy to see if something has baked perfectly brown on top

If you have an old toaster oven or don't have one at all then get this. If you don't have the Breville Smart Convection Oven then you are missing out. It is more amazing than I can put into words. You can fine tune how you want your toast. It turns off when it's done. I cooked a 5-6 lb leg of lamb in this on 350 and it was cooked perfectly, just might need to adjust the time according to how well or medium you want it cooked - obviously less time for more pink. Perfect for a family of 4!

.....I just purchased the Brevillle steam oven for our vacation home. If it is as good as the Smart Oven I just know I will be writing another glowing review soon. This is easy to us, convenient, efficient and performs exceptionally. I've since purchased a Breville food processor and can only say I'm very I impressed with the quality in each Breville product. I enjoy cooking and love it even more with the right equipment.

Great little oven

Had no idea how much I would use this little oven. The fan is noisy and I could care less. Cooking for two people it handles 75% of our baking/broiling needs and comes to temp in 1/4 the time compared to my range.
We are building our retirement home and will have a DCS 36 inch commercial range and a separate wall oven. There will be a custom wall cabinet for the Breville. It's just to convenient to do without.
If you want a good laugh take a small sheet pan with 4 biscuits on it and put it in a 36 inch wide oven. It defines ridiculous.

A Must-Have

I don't know if this product needs yet another glowing review, but I haven't loved a product like this in a long time. This is by far the best kitchen purchase I have made (and I have a LOT of small appliances/kitchen equipment). [Disclaimer: I have yet to purchase the Vitamix!] It is perfect for small kitchens and for small families/couples. More energy efficient and quicker than waiting for the regular oven to heat up. Not to mention healthier than using the microwave--in fact, I barely use the microwave for anything anymore. The only thing I would not recommend this for is baking standard sized cakes/pies (the heating elements are a little too strong)... but I have even baked cookies, small tarts, and muffins with success. When was the last time you baked cookies in a toaster oven (let's be honest, that's basically what this is) and had them actually turn out? Bottom line: for everyday cooking, this is perfect.

I had an opportunity to buy this and really didn't think I would have much use for it. A friend told me this was a good oven but she never clarified why it was good and for what reason.
This little Breville ROCKS! It's like Mighty Mouse and has become my second oven. If the food or pan fits in you can do everything a big oven can do. I wasn't expecting that! I've toasted almonds, baked cookies, baked a 9x9 rigatoni and cooked a pizza. I'm going to try baking a Bundt cake next. I really had no idea how useful and versatile this machine is. Don't be fooled by its size, it can fit a 9x13 pan if the pan doesn't have handles.
My only small warning is to measure where you plan to place the oven from the electrical outlet. It has a very short cord, maybe 2 feet?
Pros: Size, Speed, Versatile, Design, Easy to Use, Power, Easy to Clean, like a backup oven!

Great For The Office

There are five people in my office. I purchased this oven for use by my staff and me as one or more of us often eat lunch at the office. Often better then a microwave for heating up leftovers and cooking store bought frozen meals.
I have also used at home when entertaining and need a second oven for apps and smaller baked dishes. Is easy to use and works like a charm to bake, roast or broil.
I have owned or used other brands of counter top ovens and this oven stands head and shoulders above the rest. It is somewhat "expensive" but well worth it.
I would recommend to others and purchase again if we ever wear this one out. Thumbs up to Breville for an outstanding product.

Wonderful Convection Oven

I bought my Breville Smart Convection Oven five years ago and it is STILL going strong! You can do everything from reheat leftovers to cook pizzas, roasts, chickens...you name it. It also has a great toasting feature, so whether you have regular sliced bread, a bagel, croissants...all will turn out equally delicious! This was the single BEST thing I have purchased from Williams-Sonoma!

Warning: I am a Breville afficianado, and have multiple products. :-)
I've had this oven for years, and it replaced one of their competitors. This oven does it all (sans steam). I use it almost constantly instead of heating up the Wolf.
The oven cooks evenly, temperatures are correct, it cooks by timer, and has multiple cooking features, including convection and pizza. I've roasted a small chicken in it, and it comes out brown and moist. It actually does a decent job toasting although if you're a toast lover, I'd use the Breville toaster.
The oven is well made, comes with what I term, heavy duty roasting rack and accessories, not tinny at all.
As for cleanup, the crumb tray comes out the front, not the back like other makers, and the racks are dishwasher safe.
Very, very pleased. Worth the money.

I have a beautiful dual fuel Wolf convection range. IT takes a long time to warm up and cool down. I did not feel good about baking two potatoes or warming up leftovers in this large oven. This small oven is the answer! I have used it for everything from broiling steaks, baking potatoes, heating leftovers and yes, even toast! This is NOT your mother's toaster oven!

Perfect countertop oven! I have baked banana bread, brownies, pizza etc and all turned out great. Toast is a little slow but everything else is about right time wise.

This is THE BEST counter top oven. The only time I use my wall oven is when I have to bake a 9 x 13 casserole. This oven will fit an 8 x 11 dish.

I have had my Breville Convection Oven for one year and can't say enough good things about it. I brag it up to everyone. I love it, love it and love it. A gift from my daughter. Wonderful addition to my kitchen

We are full-time RV'rs and the oven in my fifth wheel is difficult to light. I bought this counter top oven and so glad that I did. We use it for everything, toast, baking, roasts. You name it, I've done it. In the summer, when we are spending most of our time outdoors, I can take it outside and socialize while dinner is cooking. As a result of our great experience, two of our fellow RV neighbors have also purchased this product and are as happy with it as we are! I am so addicted to it that when we house-sit in the winter in a house with a top of the line double oven, I take it with me and use it instead.
