The Bread Project Sea Salted Caramel Ganache Shortbread Cookies

Delicate caramel shortbread is filled with caramel-chocolate ganache and lightly sprinkled with Himalayan sea salt for a one-of-a-kind treat. The caramel flavor really shines, thanks to the unique technique employed by the expert bakers at The Bread Project, who lightly burn the caramel to emphasize its nutty, smoky nuances. Despite the liberal use of caramel, the cookie is not overly sweet. Generous quantities of butter and semisweet chocolate - from local San Francisco chocolate company, TCHO - help create a soft, slightly chewy shortbread that melts in your mouth. The shortbread is made by The Bread Project in Emeryville, California, a nonprofit that trains people with limited resources in the art of baking, helping them develop expert job skills for working in the food industry. Two-2.4 oz. packages (6 shortbreads per package). Made in USA. A Williams-Sonoma exclusive.

Great taste, terribly overpriced
May 21, 2014
I love the taste of these cookies and the Bread Project is a great organization. However, these cookies are miniature. When I opened the box I stared at them in disbelief! 12 TINY cookies for this price is just not worth it no matter how great the cookies taste. 4 cookies are approximately equivalent to one large cookie from a gourmet shop. I feel robbed.
Pros: Texture, Quality, Flavor
Cons: Amount, overpriced

Cookies to DIE for
February 12, 2014
One bite and these cookies will have you swooning. The tiniest bit of sea salt mixed with the chocolate and caramel ganache creates a perfect little dessert that is impossible to resist. I truly don't think I've ever tasted a better cookie in my life.
Pros: Texture, Amount, Quality, Good for Entertaining, Decadent, Flavor
Cons: Unhealthy
