Brasserie Blue-Banded Porcelain Cups & Saucers
Classic dinnerware like this is popular in Parisian bistros and brasseries. Made of fully-glazed porcelain, the pieces are larger and heavier than standard tableware and are sturdy enough to go under the broiler. The pattern has a blue fillet border. Microwavable and dishwasher safe. 11-oz. cups and 6 1/2" saucers, set of four. Made in Japan. A Williams-Sonoma exclusive.

ABSOLUTE BEST PORCELAIN COFFEE CUPS EVER!

When you live for your morning latte like I do, you are VERY picky about the whole experience; you run hot water and pre-warm your porcelain Melitta pot and your W-S BRASSERIE cup; you boil fresh water and grind fresh beans, and make your coffee fresh, drip style, every day. You hand-froth your milk and twirl just the right amount into the cup. Finally, you put your index finger in the loop and raise that cup of deliciousness to your lips. AHHHH! Perfection! The handle-loop is curved and attached to the cup to fit your finger and balance the cup perfectly; the rim is smooth, perfectly glazed and just the right thickness for sipping. These small details add up to a perfectly crafted cup that is superior to everything else on the market. You will love these cups!!!

One of my favorite things

I've owned WS Brasserie dinnerware for over 12 years. I bought the basic 4 place setting set when I was single, and my boyfriend (now husband) liked it so much that when we married, we just bought more, including the cereal bowls. I've used this every day since I bought it. I love the weight of these pieces, and they go through the dishwasher beautifully. I use them in the microwave and under the broiler (yes, the broiler). Our son likes the blue color. They take a beating and keep their good looks, and I still love them now as much as I did when they were brand new. I cannot recommend this dinnerware enough!!!

The design is lovely and has a nice size saucer. The handle is large enough for a mans fingers.

Con - a little wobble without coffee
Pro - great look, feel, weight, class, blue really looks good, priced well for something this nice. I looked at many online and brick and morter - this is the best
