Muffins rock!
October 4, 2013
I made the carrot muffins; they were tasty and deeply flavorful, almost too carrot-y for me. My husband, who loves carrot-anything, gobbled them up as fast as they cooled down, though. I froze some, and they thawed out well in parchment paper. These are crazy-moist muffins- most muffins i eat tend to run dry; not these. I microwaved my frozen muffin for 30 seconds on parchment and it was glorious. I did not use paper liners. I used a buttered silicon muffin pan and the muffins had a tasty caramelized outside on the bottom and sides that I really liked. Major yum! Will try the corn muffins next!
Pros: Texture, Easy to Prepare, Authentic, Quality, Good for Entertaining, Time-saver, Flavor
Cons: price

I made the carrott muffins and they turned out pretty well. Tasted great; not salty like the previous reviewer. Shared them with my family and they loved the muffins.

The taste was atrocious
January 8, 2013
I tried the Carrot muffins.
I often frequent Bouchon in NYC, so when I saw these treats I was elated.
The mix was easy to make, the muffins looked lovely after I baked them.
But... the taste was atrocious. The most disgusting taste ever. And the crumb topping was extremely salty. Yes, salty. The carrots (though plentiful) were hard and chewy.
It was a horrid experience and especially after the high price. I've had better luck with cheap old Duncan Hines!
Pros: Easy to Prepare
Cons: Disappointing, Texture, smell, Flavor, expensive

100% Terrible!
I have recently visited Bouchon in Las Vegas and was very excited when I saw this mix in W-S. I made it into a mini muffin type for my kids. When I bit into it the muffins the carrots were tough and hard. The flavor was just ok with the topping having salty patches in it so it would be a bit overwhelming and other places way too sweet. For $17 I would have expected way more from this chef. I guess I will just need to head to the Bouchon in North bay next time I have a hankering for Thomas Keller's delicious french pastries. Would DEFINITELY not recommend it to anyone.
