Beautiful cutting board!
June 3, 2014
Although I prefer End-Grain boards, I just had to have the Boos Edge-Grain Carving Board. I bought this board in Walnut. I just leave my board out because it is very beautiful. I get plenty of compliments on my board whenever we have guests. Because of it's nice size, it can sit over the sink to create more counter space.
Of course, with any real wooden board you have to oil it regularly. So it is pretty high maintenance. However, that isn't my real problem with this board. My problem with it is it seems rough and when I wipe the board down with a paper towel or dish cloth it pulls tiny fibers from the towels and they get stuck on the board. Maybe I need to start buying those brown paper towels just for this board.
Pros: Durable, Easy to Use, Quality, Size, Strength, Weight
Cons: Difficult to Clean, High-Maintenance

Update
It is now August 1. I have owned this board for about four months now. MAN, this board looks terrible!!! The rough surface has collected so many little fibers from my kitchen towels and paper towels that it looks like a winter wonderland on my board.
I wipe it down after every use. I oil it at least twice a week since I use it heavily. I take good care of it! It just had this awful rough surface ever since I received it.
I don't know if I just happened to get a bad board or if all of these boards are like mine, but I just feel like a fool for spending so much money on a poor quality board.
Good thing Williams-Sonoma just came out with their own line of cutting boards. I'll definitely be buying one of those boards to replace my Walnut Boos Edge-Grain Carving Board.
I would change my rating of this product to 0/5 stars if I could.

Great board - if you take care of it!
August 20, 2013
A great cutting board, as long as you use it properly, keep it clean, and well oiled, and don't leave hot items or liquids on it for an extended amount of time.
I've had it for a month now, and have really given it the full gauntlet - and it still looks as clean and new as the first day I got it.
Pros: Durable, Easy to Use, Quality
Cons: High-Maintenance
