Black Bamboo Flatware Place Setting

Inspired by the graceful silhouettes of bamboo, the handles on these utensils are carved from wenge-an exotic African wood prized for its rich, dark hues and intricate grain. The expertly varnished wooden handles are combined with 18/10 stainless-steel fork and spoon implements for timeless beauty and easy care. Handcrafted in France by Dubost, famous for fine flatware since 1920, each place setting includes a 9 1/4" dinner knife, 8" dinner fork, 7" salad fork, 8" dinner spoon and 6" dessert spoon. Dishwasher safe.

Its a great flatware
July 7, 2014
I have bought this flatware set for an daily use end of 2013. its beautiful and I love it. I have been using them everyday and never had a problem. I'm using the dishwasher and the wood is not flaking off.
I don't know how the others had problems as I'm literally using them everyday.
It is a bit expensive but I'm very happy I bought them.
Pros: Durable, Quality, Appearance, Design

Falling apart
February 9, 2014
I love almost everything I buy from Williams Sonoma but this is not one of them. The bamboo looks and feels like plastic and they are not dishwasher safe, the "wood" is flaking off. Very unattractive and I will have to replace.
Cons: Not Durable

Look great but wear very quickly
September 25, 2013
I bought these as they look great. They are fun and perfect for everyday dining... or so i thought. After the first few dishwasher (on the usual low settings) the wood started to flack off and the steel started to rust. I have now had them about 6 months and they are totally ruined, to the point i am having to replace them. They are not durable or even dishwasher safe. Personally i think if you use them only for "occasions" and hand wash them they may last longer but not much point otherwise. Disappointed to say the least.
Pros: Good for Entertaining, Color, Appearance, Weight
Cons: Quality, Difficult to Clean, Fragile
