strong smell
March 3, 2015
The other reviewer here is correct, these DO have a very strong smell. A mix of beeswax and the jojoba smell.
If you rinse them in cool water the smell dissipates faster. I tried using them straight out of the package on fresh baked bread and the smell does not transfer to bread.
These do a great job of keeping your bread covered and fresh without the waste of plastic/paper bags. The small size would fit a sandwich.
Pros: Easy to Use, Size, Versatile
Cons: smell

The smell is awful
February 18, 2015
I ordered these directly from the company and I just received these yesterday. when I opened them, the smell nearly sickened me. I e-mailed the company and they said eventually it will dissipate. I have them airing out in an upstairs room with the door closed. My entire house reeked with the smell. They were expensive so I hope I can get to use them.
Pros: Easy to Use
Cons: smell

Can you live with the odor
I gave these as a gift to a friend who has just starting baking bread. Always the grateful, gift recipient, I wondered why she hadn't told me what a fantastic gift. When I remembers to ask, she told me of the horrid odor. She washed, left them outside, and nothing worked. Seems like the perfect way to keep your bread fresh, but maybe not!!
