Balsamic Glaze Vinegar of Modena

Near Modena, Italy, the Leonardi family has been crafting balsamic vinegar since 1871 following techniques handed down for four generations. This glaze is a dense, creamy blend of grape must and barrel-aged balsamic vinegar, slow cooked to a sweet-tangy finish. Just a drizzle imparts brilliant flavor to foods from salads to desserts. 7.41 oz. Made in Italy.

Better than homemade
October 4, 2013
I'm usually of the "scratch is better than bought" mentality, but not with this glaze. No reduction I've attempted has the depth and complexity of flavor. It's thicker than maple syrup, but less thick than honey and takes a cheese plate from good to extraordinary. It's perfect paired with a strawberry spinach salad or drizzled on baked acorn squash too. Its best use might just be on fresh-baked bread with summer tomatoes, basil and mozzarella though!

Superb Balsamic Reduction
October 26, 2011
This syrup-like glaze can be used in any recipe that calls for balsamic. Just the right amount of sweet and tangy flavor. I no longer take time reducing balsamic vinegar to make a thicker sauce - it just doesn't compare to the great flavor of this glaze.
Pros: Texture, Amount, Quality, Time-saver, Flavor, Great Gift

The best sauce
August 6, 2011
This is the best sauce ever. It might seam a little pricey for this small bottle but not only does it go far , it really is head and shoulders above the grocery store brands. I use it every morning on my berries. Its fabulous with berries and yogurt or berries and creme fraiche. I also uses to deepen the flavor of other sauces that use regular balsamic.
Pros: Amount, Quality, Time-saver, Decadent, Flavor

Incredible!
July 26, 2011
This glaze is absolutely delicious! I have used it on everything from bread to sauteed veggies and poached salmon. It's tangy and sweet and has just enough body to not slide off your food and gather in a puddle on your plate. The small bottle goes a long way!
Pros: Quality, Decadent, Flavor
