The Ary chamber vacuum sealer uses state-of-the-art technology for oxygen-free packaging of food, whether cooked and raw. Like all vacuum sealers, the Ary removes oxygen when packing to keep meat, fish and produce fresh longer without preservatives. But unlike other vacuum sealers, this chamber machine also vacuum-packs liquids like soups, stews, sauces and marinades. Seals foods in airtight packages that keep raw or cooked foods fresh 3 to 5 times longer than conventional storage bags Vacuum packages liquids such as soups, stews, and marinades. Provides a higher level of vacuum than standard sealers, which preserves foods longer. Creates airtight packages perfect for sous vide cooking. User-friendly LCD control panel ensures complete control in an easy-to-use format. Transparent grey lid makes it easy to see and monitor the vacuum process. Easy-to-read pressure indicator. Sleek low-profile design fits easily on any counter top; hinged lid tucks neatly back over the machine. Included high-quality, heavy-duty packaging material provides maximum freshness and a reliable seal. Awesome product
July 11, 2014
I purchased one of these as a companion to my sous vide, so that I could create sealed pouches containing liquids. It is a very high quality machine and I am glad that I made the investment. I had also had success in making "instant pickles" with this machine in a process that I learned from watching you tube videos regarding this product. They are really good and fun to make on the spur of the moment for a company pleasing appetizer or relish.
Pros: Durable, Easy to Use, Quality, Easy to Clean
Cons: Weight

A must for sous vide cooking
May 14, 2012
The Ary unit is a superb product. Very durable/commercial quality. I use this in conjunction with the Polyscience Sous Vide. In my opinion, the Ary Chamber unit is a must for use with sous vide cooking.
I purchased both of the Caso vaccum sealer units that WS offers, and they just did not cut it. As soon as you put an ounce of fluid in the bag, they will not seal properly. The Ary unit can easily seal bags that are filled with as much as 2 cups of liquid, making it the perfect tool for sous vide cooking as well as for marinating.
Since purchasing this product, one of my favorite recipes to make is miso black cod/sea bass. I allow the fish to marinade in the miso overnight in the vacuum sealed bag, then place it directly into the water bath the next day..pure perfection!
A few cons: must have a dedicated space to keep this in. It is a very large and heavy piece. I keep mine in the basement, next to my Polyscience Sous Vide on a workbench.
Pros: Durable, Quality, Power, Design
Cons: Weight, Difficult to Store, Size

agree on value of product
I agree with Bordeauxbuff and have posted my own review. You simply cannot seal a bag properly for sous vide cooking or otherwise that contains any free liquid without the use of a chamber vacuum. Would be purchasers should familiarize themselves with the difference between a standard vacuum sealer and a chamber vacuum. Standard vacuum sealers don't do too well with fine loose particles either. I completely agree that this is a large heavy machine (one the plus side it has the heavy duty mechanical capability to do its job) and it needs its own space. I keep in on a heavy wheeled kitchen cart along with my stone grinder which is also very heavy.
