A homemade bouillon, or clear broth, of chicken, beef or game, makes a sensible and delicious start to a meal, as the French well know. These classic footed bouillon bowls have small handles so the bowls can be tipped for sipping. They're made by Apilco, France's leading producer of restaurant-quality porcelain products. Oven, microwave and dishwasher safe. 13.5-oz. cap.; 5 1/4" diam., 2 3/4" high. Set of four.

Excellent Bowls

My husband and I received the Apilco China collection for our wedding 8 years ago. The china itself is stunning and the white makes it easy to pair with our other favorite china collections as well. These bowls are perfect for anything from soup to cereal to salads! I have two children (6 & 3) who use these bowls at least twice a day, when they are finished with a meal they drop them in the sink. None of the bowls have chipped, cracked or broken...they are VERY DURABLE!

Chipping, not made like they used to be

I've had all Aplico dinnerware from WS since 1998 and the pieces are almost indestructible. I only had four of these bouillon bowls and loved them. Over the years, 2 were dropped (on a stone floor) and cracked apart. The other two have lasted perfectly. My husband gave me 8 more this Christmas and the handles and bottoms on several of them have already chipped. I'm very unhappy - these are expensive!

A bowl that's worth every penny

I love my Apilco Bouillon Bowls! They are so versatile. I can make everything from French onion soup to chicken pot pies. I can put the bowls in oven to bake or I can simply use it for cereal. The simple design is great too! It is truly a functional piece in our kitchen. You will get what you pay for and these bowls will last a lifetime!
