Ancestors of the chambered nautilus, fossil ammonites tell a story of ancient seas. These were found high on a mountain in Morocco and carefully freed from the surrounding stone. Whether left in a raw, rough state or split and polished to show the elegant architecture inside, they're intriguing, beautiful and unique. Actual fossilized ammonite shells, more than 350 million years old. Chiseled from the rock in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. Raw Ammonite: 6 1/4" diam., 2 3/4" high.
