All-Clad Pizza Stone & Cutter Set

Replicating the conditions of a commercial pizza oven, the porous soapstone transmits heat evenly while absorbing moisture in the dough-the key to a crisp golden-brown crust. Heat-retaining soapstone ensures crust bakes evenly and develops a crackling crust. 18/10 stainless-steel tray transports pizza from oven to table for serving directly from the baking stone. The best pizza stone ever

Can’t praise enough for this pizza stone. I came across this stone on WS website and thought it was an interesting stone to serve bread and cheese etc. so I ordered it. The pizza stone is a work of art. It is a very thick grey stone that comes with a stylish ring to carry it conveniently. Today, I tried to bake pizzas on it and they were AWESOME! I was so happy to be able to make the crispy crust pizza cooked in my oven with hidden bottom electric element that I had to write this review. If you are suffering from the frustrations of those modern electric ovens with hidden baking elements that bake pizza with overdone top and half-baked floppy-fish bottom, go get this stone now.

A great pizza stone!

I have been using this stone for many years and I have no complaints. Not only is it lovely to look at but it is very easy to handle and use. I have made hundreds of pizza with this stone. It is easy to clean and if you are ambitious you can also get the stainless steel looking new. A trick! Instead of cornmeal under the pizza I use parchment paper. Cut a sheet to fit your paddle, place your pizza on the paddle, build the pizza and slip the two onto your stone. Voila! Perfect pizza!

Temp for parchment paper
Most parchment paper has a 450 *f maximum.
Home-made pizza dough likes to be baked at over that temp......550*f or higher if your oven can handle it.
I guess for frozen pizzas this is fine, as they usually call for 425*f.
But thanks for the tip, I appreciate it !!
