Recently purchased this slowcooker. I liked the fact the insert could be used on the stovetop to brown meats (no other pots to clean). I have made several recipies and all have turned out exceptionally well. I recently made the Barefoot Contessa's Company Pot Roast (which calls for cooking in the oven) with this slow cooker. It was yummy! Total cook time between 5 1/2-6 hours on high. When cleaning the insert, don't use abrasives; simply soak in hot soapy water and it should wipe clean with a paper towel, as the insert is non-stick. I also like that the insert is oval, rather than round. As this product is exclusive to WS, if you have issues return to a WS store for assistance first.

Just wait... you will have the same issue.
We loved this product as well... until the bubbling/flaking happened. Trust me... it's not an issue of IF it will happen to you... it's a matter of WHEN it will happen to you.
Considering the purchase price we were VERY careful with the cooker.
All-Clad is very aware that these non-stick liners are defective. We have a free replacement being sent out to us.

I never use abrasives on non-stick surfaces. The coating has "popped off" in three places. My inquiry was to see if anyone else has had the issue. No lecture, please. Just facts.

Not durable

I had this slow cooker for only a few uses and it shorted out. They did replace it but the second one had problems with the Teflon coating. It peeled badly. This slow cooker was way to expensive for the durability

Beautiul on the counter; so easy to use, great to wash up. I love the lift-out pan for pre-braising. All-Clad does it again.

Great Pot for Soup

i have used the slow cooker for making soup for 2 years now. I used it at least 4 times a week. However, bubbles start to show up recently on the non-stick part. I emailed All-Clad & they requested me to send in the picture of the problem. Once they reviewed the image, they wrote back to replace the insert. I'm very pleased even though it's backorder until May. If not for the replacement, i will give it 3 stars only.

The power unit went out on my 5 year old cooker. Called all clad and they immediatly sent a prepaid ups sticker. I just took the unit to the ups store and in 2 weeks I received my repaired unit at no cost. well done all clad

I am totally in love with my cooker. I have had it for probally 5 years. I use it 1-2 times per week. Clean up is so easy. However as of lately I have noticed the bubbling and now it is slowly starting to peel. I hope it doesn't continue to do that. With it's cost peeling and bubbling should NOT be an issue.

I have used this only once so far, but it is the best slow cooker I have ever used. I am a fan for life.
Easy to use and very versitile. I love the way you can take the inside and place on a stove top and then back in the slow cooker.

Not Worth the money

After 2 years of use, maybe 10 times per year, the metal insert is bubbling and peeling. All Clad won't replace insert and the insert has been unavailbe for 2 months. All Clad tells me its still on backoder for at least 6 more weeks. A replacement I beleive is $75.00, better off just buying a new one. All Clad does not stand behind this slow cooker and Willams Sonoam should not carry inferior products especially one the manufacturer won't stand behind. The best of the best just isn't.

Definitely a Bad Purchase for Me
I too purchased my slow cooker about two years ago. I doubt I have even used it five times. The stainless steel on the bottom has separated from the side of the cooker which I find totally unacceptable considering the price I paid for this unit. I agree with this reviewer that this was definitely a bad purchase.

This slow cooker is great! I love the programmable settings. I can put everything together in the morning and not worry about getting home in time to shut it off because it automatically changes to warming after the cooking is done ! Not to mention the beautiful design and quality! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!

I love , love , love this cooker. It cleans so great and easy. The food is never over done and has the best flavors. Light easy to manage and I love browning and cooking in one pan. It is the slow cooker I've b een looking for all these 45 years!!!!! Amazing!!!I love the size and it has a great look.

One pot cooking

Bought this wonderful slower cooker as a treat for myself. Busy work days and healthy meals are a snap now.
Braise your meats on the stove top with a medium heat then transfer to the slow cooker. To clean soak in hot soapy and wipe with a paper towel. I have not had issues with the nonstick surface but I do use only hot water and dish soap. The keep warm is a life saver as its does not over cook the meal.
Perfect stews, chili, beans, and pot roast.

I read a number of reviews on this product and most of the problems seem to occur a year after the product was purchased. Managed to get the Deluxe Slow Cooker on sale so I took a chance. Time will tell.

Horrific Quality

So admittedly, my wife and I bought this from W-S some time ago. We used it twice and it worked very well. We just pulled it out and, just like some of the other reviews, the electronics stopped working. They seem very cheaply made and others are having this problem. So if you'd like a short-term solution or are only planning on making 2 or 3 meals, this is the slow cooker for you! Try to use it a few more times and you may be surprised how the functionality quickly decays.

I have had my All Clad slow cooker for about 3 years and I love it. It is not corroded
and the insert is not peeling or bubbling as others have reported. BTW I've used it at least 25 times with nothing but great meals coming from it. I highly recommend this.

Makes life easier

I have a teen boy who plays a JV sport. The ability to brown on the stove and then slow cook in one pot is wonderful. I can make the games and know my starving son will be fed as soon as he hits the door! So far, I love this slow cooker.

My husband gave this to me for Christmas. I've had it 2 weeks and have already used it three times. For New Years Eve I braised a roast with plums and apricots ... YUM! I've also cooked heirloom beans and chicken cacciatore in this cooker and they were great also. I love that the insert can go from cooktop to slow cooker and back (thicken gravy). I love that the insert is very lightweight as opposed to my old crock. And I love that it's very easy to use and clean.

All-Clad is outstanding

I purchased this prior to reading the reviews and was surprised by seeing either 5 Stars or 1 Star. After now using this item myself, I can say that my experience was completely positive. While I can't speak on the longevity of the product after only having it for a short time, I have found it to be outstanding in build quality thus far. Moreover, the important part is what it does best and that is cooking all day to make outstanding meals. Well done All-Clad and thank you Williams-Sonoma.

Not worth the money

The metal insert does allow you to brown food prior to slow cooking it, but because the insert is non stick, meat and vegetables don't carmelize and create any browned bits at the bottom of the pan. Those browned bits add a lot of flavor to a dish. Additionally, I wish the lid was glass so I could see what's happening during the cooking without removing the lid and losing heat. The shiny exterior shows streaks and fingerprints. However, the ability to program the cooking time is nice.
For the money, I expected something better from All Clad. This is not as good as my old Rival Crock Pot , which cost under $40.

i was delighted to get the pot, but dissappointed in the construction. It appeared to have a plastic base on the outside. The pot was lightweight and did not feel like a stainless steel constructed base at all. i expected more from All Clad.

Set and forget

The large capacity, ability to brown/fry in the same container, and the set and forget High, Low, or High/Low self timer make this unit tops in all catagories. I have owned more than ten different brands of slow cookers and this one beats them all in every feature. Consistant heat, easy to clean, large capacity, great resaults.
