Overall, an excellent choice.

The loop handles can be too small if you have large hands. The broomstick handles do get hot and don't provide adequate leverage for some products like the 6Q sauté pan.
The lids are made in China. They are not "handcrafted in USA". The metal is thin enough that the lids will bend if you drop them. Barkeepers Friend will graze the lids, not the pots. The flat lids will hold liquids so you have to learn how to lift the lid so as to avoid a flood on your stovetop. The dome lids are better. Most copper core is induction ready, but not all. 18/8 stainless has to be dumbed-down to 18/0 for induction. There are copper core items out there that use 18/8 for both the upper and lower layers but those will be mostly older used items. If you need induction, make sure a magnet sticks to the bottom. Used pieces have a good chance of being all 18/8 stainless and won't work for induction. The pots can have very sharp lips, sometimes sharp enough to cut your skin.
Pros: Durable
Cons: handles could be more ergonomic, lids are lower quality

Good Set but good value, maybe not
July 16, 2014
The set is really nice don't get me wrong BUT the cost is very high and perhaps not the best bang for the buck. Good heavy quality feel and warms up very quickly due to the copper core. The main down sides are 1. pans stick, especially eggs 2. handles can get too warm and one must be careful not to be burned. we ended up getting some non stick pans for things like eggs. perhaps we are not using the pans proper and that s what s causing the stick but I think its more to do with the fact the cooper is so reactive to heat that its like using putting tin foil on the burner, very fast warm up. We have a nice cooktop so I don't think problem lies there. We feel the pans will last a lifetime. Bottom line- yes, good pans but ... really; that expensive?
Pros: Durable, Quality, Design, Weight
Cons: Difficult to Clean, eggs stick

Why did I wait so long??
February 26, 2012
I needed to replace old non stick cookware for way too long. I spent a lot of time reading all the extensive customer reviews I couId find on All-Clad Copper Core cookware as well as other brands. However I wanted to buy MADE IN THE USA and All Clad is! I also wanted to switch from aluminum to stainless steel which is said to be healthier. I wanted to get away from nonstick; but was worried about the clean up. This cookware cleans up easily. I have no regrets! It cooks beautifully. The skillets give foods a golden brown color. The cookware heats up and cools down quickly. Low to Medium heat is all you need. If you are looking for light weight; this may not be your choice. The large pieces are heavy but you can feel and see the quality. This large set with several big pieces is pricey but will last generations and you should have most everything you need. After I used this cookware a while; I realized all my worries were unfounded. I definitely made the right decision.
Pros: Durable, Easy to Use, Quality, Easy to Clean, Size, made in usa
