Great Pepper Mill
February 20, 2012
I don't know why some other people gave this pepper mill a lower star rating , but I have owned it for a few years and have never had any problem with it. The workmanship is outstanding and is very easy to operate and ajust the pepper grind that is needed. Also it is made in the U.S.A. by American workers. Why not support a Company that chooses to support the American worker instead of out sourcing there product !!! All in all the product is made well and will give you long service with no problems.
Pros: Durable, Easy to Use, Accuracy, Quality, Time-saver, Easy to Clean, Easy to Store, Size, Versatile, Design, Weight
Cons: none

Functionality Good / Durability Poor
January 10, 2012
Acrylic base around grinding mechanism broke out after less than 1 year's use. The functionality was very good up until plastic pieces and whole peppercorns fell into my spinach. I will search for a more durable mill for a replacement. It's a real shame, because functionality and ease of use was outstanding.
Pros: Easy to Use, Size, Versatile, Design, Weight
Cons: Quality, Fragile

Broke after a couple of years
September 26, 2011
This was a pretty nice small peppermill while it lasted. The Acrylic ones break after a while. It was my second one. I use it quite a bit and it eventually broke too. The part that breaks is usually the acrylic that mates up with the grinding support at the top, then it will not hold the top works steady, it justs wobbles around.
Pros: Easy to Use, Easy to Store, Size, Weight
Cons: Quality, Fragile

Good pepper mill
August 31, 2011
This mill works as well as the one I had from Germany that finally broke after 15 years of use. This pepper mill is attractive on the table and functional. The other review said they liked the McCormick one from the grocery store. This one is easier to use with the handle on top t and much more attractive. Our family loves this and we are buying another one for the stove.
Pros: Durable, Easy to Use, Accuracy, Quality, Time-saver, Easy to Clean, Easy to Store, Size, Versatile, Design, Weight

Nice looking, but not as nice working
May 30, 2011
The pepper mill doesn't grind as effectively as much cheaper McCormicks disposable grinders on their peppercorn bottles. I've tried adjusting from one extreme to the other, but it doesn't seem to ever give a coarse grind and is more work than necessary.
Pros: Design
Cons: Difficult to Use

Revised after several months more use.
What I found is the grinder CANNOT handle larger green / white peppercorns - they just don't feed into the grinder effectively. Once I switched to smaller black peppercorns the grinder started working well.

Wonderful!
January 27, 2011
I love freshly cracked black pepper, but all the other pepper mills never produced enough without me grinding away for a while. This mill is easy to adjust without turning it over. It turns out the right amount of pepper without me having to spend a lot of time grinding.
