Abaca Rug
Thick ropes of abaca are plaited by hand to give our rug its pattern and naturally soft shades of taupe. Strong and smooth, the abaca offers exceptional durability and resilience underfoot. Loomed by hand from natural abaca. Versatile, natural taupe hue. Because of the natural fibers and handcrafting process, dimensions may vary slightly. 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" thick. We recommend our Lightweight Rug Pad with this style; our latex-backed pad (sold separately) can be trimmed to fit exact rug dimensions.

beautiful rug

I ordered this rug for my living room in the light to go in my living room with dark furniture. It is just Beautiful and very sturdy. My kids and dogs play on it daily and still looks brand new! I'm thinking of buying another for sitting room

Abaca Rug, not for the kitchen

I had gotten on the W-S website to order a Tournai rug for my kitchen, but its no longer made in the size I needed. I ordered this one, in the size I needed, but, didn't pay attention to how thick the rug was (1-1/2 inches). This is way to thick, and Its almost a guarantee someone will trip on the rug. Its not a rug I really want anywhere in the house. There's a no return policy on this rug.
Cons: way too thick
